Bringing Back the Energy

I had the pleasure of attending ShiftinEdu over the last couple of days. To say I came back revitalized, motivated, and passionate about learning and teaching is an understatement. In every session I attended, the energy was palpable. This was a conference of change agents, EduHeroes, and EduCelebrities.

ShiftinEdu, with the leadership of Felix Jacomino and Inge Wassmann, brought their A-game (as always)! Between the connections I made, the notes I took, and the resources I collected, I know I have so much to share with my own school. I can't wait to do so!

What I can't figure out is how to share the energy. How Brett Salakas changed the mood in a room by telling a story of a butterfly in a quiet voice. How AJ Juliani got people stressed out and excited about drawing toast. I can show a video part of Hamish Brewer's keynote, but the "goosies", the tears, and the laughter he brought can only be described. Even my own presentation with Jennifer Baselice had great energy as we all shared about professional learning experiences in our schools.

I know I dropped a lot of names. There were many more to drop. It was that kind of conference. I was lucky enough to be there with them all.

I mean, even the FOOD had energy! Have you ever seen such deliciousness?

So I ask you:

How can I bring back the energy that we all felt at ShiftinEdu? How will you bring back the energy?
